The RICE Framework
I rely heavily on the RICE score (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) to quantify decisions. When a stakeholder asks for a niche feature, showing them the math makes the conversation objective rather than emotional.
Managing Expectations
It’s not about rejection; it’s about sequencing. “Not now” is better than a flat “No”. Maintain a public roadmap so stakeholders can see where their request sits in the grand scheme of things.
